Child Safety Standards

Last updated September 26, 2026

DirUp has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE). These standards explain what is prohibited on DirUp, how to report it, and what we do when we find it. They apply to every account, post, story, comment, message and group on the DirUp app.

1. What is prohibited

Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) in any form, including images, videos, drawings, animations and AI-generated or altered content that depicts or sexualises a minor.

Grooming: befriending, messaging or manipulating a minor with the aim of sexual contact or abuse, whether on DirUp or elsewhere.

Sextortion: threatening to share intimate images of a minor, or pressuring a minor to produce them.

Soliciting, sharing, trading or linking to CSAM, or asking where to find it.

Sexualised comments about minors, and content that promotes or normalises the sexual abuse of children.

Any use of DirUp to traffic, advertise or arrange contact with a minor for sexual purposes.

2. Who can use DirUp

You must be at least 16 years old to use DirUp.

Accounts that primarily feature, represent or impersonate someone under 16 are not allowed and are removed when found.

3. How to report

In the app, open the menu on any post, story or profile and choose Report Post, Report Story or Report User. You can also choose to block the account and report it in one step.

Blocking an account stops it from contacting you or seeing your content. You can review the accounts you have blocked from your profile settings.

You can also report directly to our safety team at contact@dirupsocial.com. Please include the username and a description of what you saw. Do not attach or forward images or videos of abuse; describe them instead.

If a child is in immediate danger, contact your local police or emergency services first.

4. What we do

Reports of child sexual abuse and exploitation are reviewed with the highest priority.

Content that breaks these standards is removed, and the accounts responsible are permanently banned. Banned users may not create new accounts.

Where we become aware of apparent child sexual abuse material, we report it to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and to the relevant law enforcement and regional authorities, as the law requires.

We preserve relevant information as required by law and cooperate with law enforcement investigations.

5. Compliance with the law

DirUp complies with applicable child safety laws and regulations in the places where the app is available, including requirements to report child sexual abuse material to the appropriate authorities.

6. Child safety contact

DirUp's designated point of contact for child safety is our safety team, reachable at contact@dirupsocial.com. This contact can speak to our CSAM prevention practices and compliance, and responds to reports and to requests from law enforcement.

Keeping children safe is everyone's responsibility. If you see something on DirUp that puts a child at risk, report it. Every report is reviewed.
